John Campbell Polhemus was born and raised in Toms River, NJ and is proud to be a third generation funeral director. He is married to his high school sweetheart Carla Miccio and they have 3 adult children Jonathan, Lauren, and Christopher. He loves spending time with his family, is an avid Philadelphia sports fan, enjoys boating, car restoration, and performing music.

John formerly owned Anderson & Campbell Funeral Homes of Toms River, Whiting and Manchester Township, and is highly respected throughout profession and communities in which he serves. John was a 1976 graduate of Toms River High School South and attended Alderson Broaddus College and West Virginia University and is a graduate of American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, New York City. John managed the family business where he received many community awards and was widely recognized by the profession as an industry leader. His firm affiliated with the nations largest provider of funeral service where he served as an area vice president over-seeing over 23 funeral establishments statewide.

In 2008 John returned to his roots of family owned funeral service joining the staff at Moore Funeral Service, John was later promoted to manager after the untimely passing of John D. Moore in 2010. John brings to Huber-Moore and the Moore Funeral Service family over 30 years of caring professional experience and extensive knowledge in all phases funeral service planning.

He is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, is a 32nd degree Mason, Former board member key club advisor for Kiwanis, a member of both the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Assoc., Northern Burlington County Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Bordentown Business Assoc. and various civic and social organizations throughout Burlington and Ocean counties.
